Aug. 17 – Nissan Extends $10,000 Incentive to Sept. 30 for SRP customers on the All-Electric 2017 Nissan LEAF
Salt River Project is pleased to announce that Nissan North America has extended its incentive program to offer SRP customers the opportunity to purchase a 2017 Nissan LEAF from a participating Maricopa County dealership at a discounted rate. The deal, which has been extended to Sept. 30, has resulted in record LEAF sales for Arizona.
Aug. 8 – SRP to Study Effect of Solar on the Grid
More than 750 Salt River Project customers are participating in the Advanced Inverter study to investigate how solar and other types of customer-generated energy sources impact the grid. The purpose of the pilot study, which is being conducted in conjunction with the Electric Power Research Institute, is to better understand how advanced inverters can help maintain grid reliability as solar installations increase.

July 25 – Salt River Project Receives First Approval for Proposed Price Road Corridor Power-Line Projects
At the conclusion of public hearings held July 24 and 25, the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee recommended approval of a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC), for a power line project that will help support economic development in the Chandler area known as the Price Road Corridor.
